**The service is currently available in more than 32 North American metropolitan areas. Urban Guidance is a Live service and therefore requires a data connection.

Note:
- Positioning your smartphone correctly in the vehicle is very important to ensure optimal GPS reception and for your own safety! Ensure that this is always positioned outside of the range of the airbags!
- NAVIGON is an on-board solution. This means that all map material, voice announcements and system files are saved on the telephone. Therefore no charges or waiting time for data transfer are incurred.
- The USA version requires approx. 1.2GB of free memory. Please ensure you have sufficient available mass-storage space (SD card). The map material must be downloaded after installing the app via wireless Internet on the smartphone. Please ensure a reliable and safe connection is available.
- On first startup a short data connection (ca. 25kB) is required to register your product

They lied on the traffic and maps

It used to have 'lifetime' traffic and maps. Now they want you to purchase them separately. Lifetime is so short.

Absolutely the best! - Not any more...

I have a dedicated unit, have had this on iPhone, and now on android. I love the Navigon systems and support. Inspire 4G and Atrix work great! Edit - For over a month now the app has been completely useless. Routes off an expressway exit only to route immediately back to the on ramp. This went from being the absolute best to the worst. CoPilot won't get you to the exact location, but now it will get you closer than this. I'm sooooo disappointed with what Garmin has done with this app. Bug fix NOT!

Great app! No issues on skyrocket

Love the app. Used it for years on iPhone. Only disappointment is the lack of features! Doesn't offer near as many as on the iPhone! NO TURN BY TURN! WTF!

Great App, but Cockpit needs work.

So far no complaints other than the cockpit. Those functions are screwed up. Gauges pivot way off center, e.g. the compass pivots on literally the S of the compass rather than the center point of it. Please fix, or allow me to disable it till its fixed. New patch didn't fix cockpit. Still unable to remove, or disable it either.

Good.

Best GPS app ever. Works so well on my galaxy note. When I purchased couple years ago, it said lifetime traffic and maps update. I even took a screenshot of this. Now they want money to update maps

Red light camera's

The red light cameras appear on the screen, at least in Chicago. However, there is no verbal warning when coming up upon a red light camera. Also, when manually zooming in and out during navigation, it is very choppy in difficult to maneuver.

Great offline solution

Navigon works well offline, gives straight forward voice direction, and doesn't say "Recalculating!!" to rub it in if you miss turns. The maps are a bit fuzzy, lane assist is lacking, and the business directory is merely ok, but it's a great product overall.
