Verizon and Blockbuster making a bad name for themselves

I sort of understand why phones come preloaded with unwanted software but why does thus app need to run in the background ALL THE TIME? I've avoided rooting my phone but it seems that this app will finally drive me to do it. Bad form Verizon and Blockbuster.

Wtf

I actually decided to give this pre-loaded app a shot. Opened it after the latest update and it automatically said "tamper error" and told me I wouldn't be able to watch/download anything...unless I was already a paying subscriber. As a lifelong Blockbuster customer I was willing to give it a try, but this is just ridiculous. I felt like they were accusing me of trying to steal their service or something before I had even tried it. F**k off.

Just nope

Bad call verizon. The only way to ignore this app its to update it. That really bothers me especially considering the permissions. I take care to only install apps with permissions that would be useful to me. This app its obviously straight spyware that is impossible to remove.

When is Blockbuster going to finally go away?

The only good thing about this app is reading all of the one star comments. Blockbuster, we don't care about your updates because we are all using Netflix. You were late to the online streaming media game and no amount of licensing with cell phone companies is going to help us forget your ridiculous late fee policies. Your Trademark is shot, you squandered any customer good will a long time ago. My advice, get a new name and start over... or better still, just close the doors and call it a day!

Take this crap and shove it.

I have never used this app, nor do I know of ANYONE that uses it. Even after all this time of having my phone, your update has reminded me and everyone else why we should root our phones. VERIZON DO NOT FORCE US TO HAVE CRAP ON OUR PHONES MOST OF US WILL NEVER USE!

Please, let me uninstall this.

Nobody really wants this, it's completely pointless to have. This app is nothing but a waste of battery life, and constantly being told to update it is nothing but annoying. My god, Verizon, don't you make enough money already without having to partner up with this deadbeat company?

Worthless app

I've tried to find a way delete this app but cannot. I am aggregated with all the update notices for an app that I never use. Send me an update that will allow me to uninstall!

Zero stars! Useless crap!

Like many others have said, I do not need or want this app. I have Netflix. I haven't even set foot in a Blockbuster in over 6 years. I keep getting update reminders for this useless app and I will keep ignoring them until the update that allows me to uninstall this crap app comes along. Forcing me to have it only insures I will NEVER use or update it.
