Kaiten is an excellent email client for Android phones and tablets.

Kaiten Mail is an advanced email client for Android. Based on the award-winning K-9, Kaiten has been completely redesigned to look gorgeous on your tablet. (It looks pretty snazzy on your phone too.)

Kaiten supports IMAP Push, POP3, Exchange 2003/2007 (with WebDAV).

Kaiten supports multi-folder sync, flagging, filing, signatures, bcc-self, PGP, mail on SD, multiple identities, search, configurable notifications & more!

Built by K-9's lead developer, Kaiten is simpler, easier to work with and a whole lot prettier. Frequently used commands are now available in the application's action bar. If you have the screen real-estate, Kaiten's split-screen view lets you see a mailbox and individual messages side-by-side.

Kaiten's name is a play on K-9. It's a Japanese word that means rotation and sounds a lot like K10 or K-10.

Awesome!

Took me less than 30 minutes to set up 5 POP email accounts and 1 Gmail integrated with PGP encryption, and signatures and what-not. I now deleted all the other email clients I was using. Great job with this app - keep developing it! *** would love to see an option to send mails immediately on send-button-press (and not at the next poll Interval as it appears - currently I am syncing manually after send-press to despatch any composed email immediately) Very impressed with this app!

The best mail app on Android

If you're connecting to an IMAP or POP3 mail service, then this is the best mail client on Android. It's powerful yet easy to use, and looks good too.

Waste of Money

As with all second rate apps, this has no trial! By the time I realised there's a better app, refund time had expired. Oh well, you got my cash but you also get this crappy review. Save your money and try AquaMail Free! IMHO better in every way and pro version cost the same!

Horrible

Used to be great. Now can't connect to gmail or other imap servers most of the time. Constantly complains of "bad password" during account setup but then sorta works anyway. Message counts never correct. Won't poll correctly most of the time. Doesn't mark read messages as read. Practically useless now. Same failures on both Motorola atrix and Asus Transformer. Yuck!!!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST OF THEM ALL

Ive tried them all (EnhancedEmail, AquaMail, MailDroid, K9...) and this is the best = K9 + lots of extras, better UI and functionality, PGP... Dont believe these people who give bad reviews just because they cant read... This is an ADVANCED mail client, hence why a lot of people cant use it/get frustrated. Cant wait for v2.0 :)

I don't understand why the developer has completely stopped communicating regarding problems. Images in emails I forward are not being included or received by people I send them to in addition to other unresolved problems.

Now only if I could delete Gmail...

I wouldn't use or buy any other email app, even though I only use Kaiten for Gmail. The software is fast, the gestures intuitive, split mode in landscape looks great (not a fan of split mode in portrait, but I'll live until there's a fix). Great control for just about everything. The biggest flaw is the inability to search on the server. The way it handles photo attachments is a little muddled. Otherwise, best I've ever seen on Android, and I'm keeping it. CAN'T WAIT FOR 2.0!
