Good

Should combine this app with the flashlight app as I have that one also which is great only one I found that would allow me to use my camera light rather than screen. However was trying to find a combo with a compass,level,and the lighting all in one if you could make that it would be kool and keep the app to sd thing going that's always a plus.

Works perfectly

What a handy app to have! Compass works perfectly. Those saying their east and west are backwards are reading it wrong. The red will always point north. Just read the digital print on top for the direction you are pointing your phone.

Hoped it would be a nice App

Doesn't work Correctly I have a Samsung -SGH-I777 ( Galaxy S2) and this app doesn't work. Will not point the right direction. Stood next to someone else with a compass and got different results, as well as using a compass to check direction. Could it be the Solar Flares, causing this ?? As they are Active at the present. 3/11/2012

Nice app! E & W are backwards

On my EVO, E & W dial is opposite. But, the heading(this what u call it?) Not the dial but where it tells u,ie E4, is correct. Looks like I am not the only one here that is having that problem. 4 stars, otherwise it would have been 5.

Doesn't point North on my tablet

This app would be great if the red tip actually pointed North as it is supposed to. For me on my tablet it consistently picks out west as north. Very odd. And I have been backpacking and have known how to use a compass since I was 8, so I know what I'm talking about. A compass that can't find north is kinds useless.

Exact, clearest, sharp, smoothest n live, what do u want more! Developer, u can merge it with with more, like alto, hygro, thermo,.. But this compas is just perfect, no risk of breakin dwn no repare. Thank you!!

Seems a little off

Looks nice, but settings brings up my keyboard for some reason. To type what, where? Who knows? Plus the directions seem a little skewed and don't match up right. HTC Sensation

YOU BUNCH OF DINGBATS

That's how a compass works--the needle always points north. If you turn 90° to the right, you're facing due east and the indicator is still pointing due north--NOT indicating west. A real compass indicates your true direction ONLY when you are facing due north or due south. You should be embarrassed to have publicly criticized this app when it's your own brain that fails here.
