Do you turn your phone to silent when you go to bed?
Worried about missing important calls while the volume is turned down? CritiCall is the answer. Calls and texts from important contacts will still ring, even when your phone is turned to silent.

Permissions

Full Internet access
We use a built-in reporting system in the event the app force closes. The reports only collects device information and the cause of the force close - it does not collect any personal information.

Receive SMS
CritiCall never accesses the actual message content; however, it does have to recognize incoming texts so that it can override the volume when an incoming text it received.

Read contact data
CritiCall has to be able to read the incoming phone number in order to determine whether or not to override the volume. We don't actually store any of that information other than to create the contact list in the app and to correctly identify whether or not the incoming call/text is from a contact designated as "critical."

Read phone state and identity
This is only used in CritiCall to determine the volume setting on the phone and whether or not there is an active call. We don't access the phone number or serial number of the phone..
Modify/delete USB storage contents modify/delete SD card contents

CritiCall stores the critical contact information/data on the SD Card.

Modify global system settings
CritiCall has to access and change the volume settings on the phone, so this permission is required to perform that functionality.

Control vibrator
Vibration override – allows the phone to also vibrate.

Control system backup and restore
As with the Internet Access permission, this is required to perform the backup/restore option which is an integrated functionality provided by Google.
