We’re back with our weekly roundup of the Top 10 New Android Games of the Week. This weeks list features games that let you rescue parrots, grow zombies, street race, and shoot a little b-ball. As always we’ve tried to include a little something for everyone so sit back, relax, and enjoy our picks for the Top 10 New Android Games of the Week…
1. Grave Maker
Halloween may be over, but Grave Maker lets you extend the holiday as you get to plant ghouls in a garden and dig them up when they’re ripe. You’ll get to grow, harvest, and battle you’re newly grown minions through 20 different levels and it’s really been a blast to play so far. This great game is flying way, way under the radar right now for some reason, but it’s well worth a look and it’s free to download on Google Play.
We got to see a Bruce Campbell Android game this past week with Backflip Studios Army of Darkness Defense and the world is a much better place for it. You play Ash and you’ll have to defend the Necronomicon against hordes of the undead… just like you did in the movie. Most of the characters from the flick are present in the game and if you’re an Evil Dead fan this is a game you won’t want to miss. You can snag Army of Darkness Defense for free on Google Play.
3. Rope Rescue
Birds. Love em’ or hate them they’re all over video games these days and Rope Rescue is the newest Android game to bring our feathered friends to touchscreen devices. You don’t fling birds around in this puzzler though as you’ll use ropes and pulley’s to set baby parrots free from the evil King Rat’s cages. It’s definitely a game you’ll want to check out if you dig puzzlers and there are free and paid versions available to download.
League of Heroes is a new hack n’ slash game that has you fight foes in the wilds of Frognest as you take on quests and search for loot. The game uses real-time weather effects, has more than 60 quests, and most importantly it’s a lot of fun. You can pick up Gamelion studios League of Heroes for free on Google Play.
Hanger is the second rope-based game to make our list this week and it’s one of the cooler swinging games we’ve played. You get to swing your way through more than 30 themed levels as you simply try to stay alive and not lose too many body parts. It’s a simple game to play, but a hard one to master and you can pick it up for $0.99 on Google Play.
This one accidently got left off the list last week, so we’ve included Need for Speed: Most Wanted in the Top 10 this week. Need for Speed: Most Wanted drops you into 35 awesome cars as you take on street racers while trying to stay ahead of the cops. As you’d expect it’s a great looking racing game and its $6.99 if you want to give it a go.
Mushrooms have always been popular in video games, and Battle Mushrooms takes the whole Mushroom thing to a whole new level. This Tower Defense game lets you battle mushrooms against mechanoids as you try to keep the mechanical invaders from taking over your mushy little planet. The game has over 20 different types of battling mushrooms, several different heroes, and 15 unique locations. If you enjoy Tower Defense games it’s definitely worth a look and it’s free to download on Google Play.
NBA: King of the Court 2 is a new basketball game from Ogmento that lets you test your skills on the court. The game has a 40 level single player mode, multi-player, and plenty of power-ups to help give you the edge over your opponents. There’s no free version of this one to check out, but you can pick up the full version for $1.99.
Ayopa games brought us a fun word earlier in the month with W.E.L.D.E.R. and now they’re back with something totally different. M.U.S.E. is their latest game and it’s a 3rd person shooter with RPG elements, destructible environments, and cybernetic enemies. It looks to be a solid shooter, but I couldn’t get it to run on my tab and it seems some other folks have had issues as well. If you want to give it a try you can pick up M.U.S.E. for $1.99.
Sometimes it’s nice to play a relaxing Android game and if you’re looking for some casual fun Pandoole is a great pick. It’s a colorful puzzler that lets you draw with ink as you try to take on 75 levels set across 3 different chapters. There’s a 20 level demo version of Pandoodle you can check out, and the full version is a steal at only $1.00.
