Top 10 New Android Games of the Week – September 16, 2012

No boring intro this week folks, just 10 New Android Games to get your game on with. If you’re ready to spend the next several hours playing some great games here ya’ go…

1. Campers!

If you’re ever wanted to play a game about summer camp or run one now’s your chance thanks to Glu Mobile’s Campers! for Android. Campers! basically lets you run a summer camp where you’ll have to keep the campers happy and entertained with a wide variety of fun activities. You can read more about Campers! here, and if you’re ready to give it a go you can pick it up for free.

2. Feed the Penguin

Penguins are cute little things and they’re also very hungry, but who knew they ate candy? If you want to feed Candy to cute lil’ penguins Avko Labs Feed the Penguin is just the game for you. It’s a physics-based flinger of sorts that has a lot of personality, and a whopping 120 levels to play through. I really enjoyed the style of the game and its pretty damned fun to boot. You can pick up Avko Labs Feed the Penguin for free on Google Play.

3. Labyrinth 2

If you’ve been an Android gamer for a while chances are you’ve played the ball maze known as Labyrinth. Well, happy days as Illusion Labs have released the sequel to the fun little puzzler and you get to try and find your way through scores of different levels while avoiding or using elements like cannons, bumpers, doors, and magnets. There’s a free version of Labyrinth 2 you can try out while the full version will only set you back $4.99.

4. Prince of Persia Classic

The Prince of Persia games have been around for a while now and thanks to Ubisoft you can now play the classic on your Android device. Prince of Persia classic lets you play the one that started it all as you try to battle your way through the dungeons to save the Princess. It’s the same classic game you remember, but re-skinned and you can snag it for $2.99 on Google Play.

5. Tofu 2

DevolverDigital made dropped the sequel to their popular To-Fu: The Trials of Chi game this week with To-Fu 2. The quirky little hero is back and you’ll get to smash through things, and ping him around objects in 115 all new levels. If you enjoyed the first game you’ll definitely dig this one and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.

6. Rail Rush

Since Temple Run was released on Android we’ve seen a lot of similar games and Rail Rush from Miniclip.com is the latest. Instead of running through the jungle you’ll be riding through a mine shaft while trying to collect gems & gold along the way. It’s a good game, but I’ve hit the “Swipe-Lag” error a few times and by looking at the market comments I’m not the only one who’s experienced it. I’m sure Miniclip will fix it in the future with a quick update, but if you want to give it a try now you can pick up Rail Rush for free.

7. Magic Tree

Com2uS brought a new game out to play this week with Magic Tree which looks to be a town building game of sorts. I haven’t played this one yet, but it looks like you’ll run a ‘tree town’ where you’ll grow different types of trees as well as raising animals, etc… It’s been dubbed a 3D social game with trees and if you want to give it a run you can snag it for free on Google Play.

8. Pirateville 2: Pirate Island

Nevosoft is pretty well known for their Hidden Object games and they’ve dropped yet another this week with Pirateville 2: Pirate Island. This is the 2nd game in the Pirateville series and you’ll get to work your way through 18 chapters filled with hidden objects, new characters, and quirky plot twists. If you enjoyed the first Pirateville or any of Nevosoft’s other games chances are you’ll dig this one as well. You can pick up Pirateville 2: Pirate Island for free on Google Play.

9. Enchant U

Enchant U is Glu Mobile’s 4th game in 2 weeks and this time around you’ll get to shop for fashions, date hot guys, and unlock magic. Basically it’s everything I don’t want to do in a game, but then again I’m a guy who enjoys Sports, Video Games, and Booze. There actually seems to be quite a bit going on in Enchant U, and I think it will be a very popular game with the ladies and younger crowd. Enchant U is available for free on Google Play.

10. The Curse

Mojo Bones finally unleashed their 2nd game onto Google Play this week in the form of The Curse, and I can honestly say it’s been well worth the wait. The Curse puts your wits to the test against a villain known only as the Mannequin as you try to solve a series of 100 puzzles to send the treacherous Mannequin back from whence he came. If you’re into puzzlers The Curse is a game you’ll definitely want to check out and you can pick it up on sale right now for only $0.99.
