Top 10 Android Games of the Week – September 30, 2012

It’s Sunday which means it’s time for another edition of our Top 10 Android Games of the Week. It was truly an awesome week to be a gamer as we got a great new Pokemon style game, a visit from some Bad Piggies, and we finally got to run through the jungle with a familiar old friend. Without further ado, we proudly present our picks for the Top 10 Android Games of the Week September 30, 2012…

1. Beastie Bay

Kairosoft surprised a lot of us this week with a new Android game that’s a bit different from its normal fare. Beastie Bay puts you to work turning a deserted island into a tropical paradise with a little help from your friends. By friends we mean little Pokémon type monsters that you fight and take on quests. Yup, Kairosoft put their own twist on the classic Pokémon style of gaming, and it’s awesome. Besides being awesome it’s also a free ad-supported game which is something you normally don’t see from Kairosoft.

2. Infectonator

If you’ve ever wanted to infect the world with a zombie spreading super virus… today’s your lucky day. Infectonator will let you do just that as you try to take over the world one bite at a time and unleash mega zombies like Kruggy, Gigsaw, and ILL Kim Jong. It’s a great game and one that I’ve had a hard time putting down over the past week. No free version is available, but you can get the full version of Armor Games Infectonator for $0.99.

3. Rayman Jungle Run

The wait was finally over this week as Ubisoft released the highly anticipated game Rayman Jungle Run for Android. Rayman Jungle Run is an endless running game in the truest sense of the word as Rayman runs through the world’s full speed while you fly, jump, and use your special abilities to try and make it through a slew full of stages. I haven’t had a chance to try it out firsthand yet, but if you’re ready to give it a run you can snag it for $2.99 on Google Play.

4. Bad Piggies

Rovio released it’s 2nd non-angry birds game this week with Bad Piggies. Actually Bad Piggies is related to the franchise, but it’s all about the piggies this go around as you’ll try to build contraptions to help the piggies get from point A to point B. It’s a nice change of page and looks to be a game that Angry Birds fans will enjoy. You can get Bad Piggies for free on Google Play.

5. Order Up!! Food Truck Wars

A lot of folks already know the awesomeness of Order Up!! To Go and the minds behind the game have just released a follow up of sorts with Order Up!! Food Truck Wars. This time around you’ll run your own Food Truck and have to keep customers happy, but you’re going to do it in turn-based online battles. There are plenty of challenges to take on, lots of upgrades, and you can get it all for only $0.99.

6. Indestructible

Glu Mobile dropped another fun game this week by the name of Indestructible. If you’re into cars and blowing folks up online it’s pretty safe to say this is just the game for you. You can read more about it here or head on over to Google Play and pick up Indestructible for free.

7. Super Action Hero

If you’re the crime fighting type you may want to check out Super Action Hero from Com2uS. The game lets you play as a little stickman super hero complete with cape and ass kicking abilities. There are several different styles of attacks, an ally system that lets you strategize a bit, and an interesting gear/hero designer that lets you design your own duds from scratch. If you’re ready to fight some crime you can get Com2uS’s Super Action Hero for free on Google Play.

8. Luminesce

Luminesce is a new Android game that puts your hand-eye coordination to the test as you’ll need to match colored orbs to baskets of the same color. There are 3 different modes of play to go along with 15 different levels that increase in difficulty. The game could use a little tightening up in a few areas, but for the most part it’s a nice little time killer and best of all it’s free!

9. Face Chop: Decision 2012

As the elections heat up we’re going to see a lot of political based Android games and we got a new one this week with Face Chop: Decision 2012. Face Chop lets you campaign for your favorite candidate by chopping at their rivals face. Just like in real life your vote counts as your scores will help you party in the Face Chop Election which runs through November 7th. It’s a quirky little game and a fun way to let off a little steam against a few politicians.

10. B.A.S.E. Jumper

YoYo Games came back onto Google Play this past week with a new title by the name of B.A.S.E. Jumper where you’ll get to base jump without the fear of losing life and limb. You’ll have to dodge trees, boulders, hang gliders, and the cops as you try and make your way to the bottom and you’re going to have a great time doing it. There’s no free version available at this time, but you can get the full version for $1.11.
