The Top 10 New Android Games of the Week – September 9, 2012
This week’s list of the Top 10 New Android Games of the Week was a tough one as there were a lot of cool new Android games released. As usual we’ve tried to include a little something for everyone in our selections so whether you like building towns, kicking footballs or solving puzzles we’ve got you covered. Without further ado, we proudly present our picks for the Top 10 New Android Games of the Week…
Glu Mobile has been on a tear lately, and this week we got a new Android Game by the name of Bombshells: Hell’s Belles. You’ll take to the sky as one of several different flying females and dole out destruction on your enemies as you fight to the death in the skies. It’s a great looking game that’s quite a bit of fun, and it’s even got online multi-player which is always nice. You can checkout Glu Mobile’s Bombshells: Hell’s Belles on Google Play for free.
The Tiny Bang Story is a new hidden objects puzzler from the folks at Herocraft, and it’s one of the best puzzlers I’ve played so far this year. You’ll have to search for items through 5 different chapters while solving puzzles and brain teasers along the way. It’s one of those games that you’re probably going to cheat on, but it’s a damn good time if you’re into hidden object games or puzzlers. There is no free version of The Tiny Bang Story available at this time, but the full version is well worth the $2.99 price tag.
Venture Towns is the latest game from Kairosoft and this one’s a little bit different from their previous efforts as you’ll run a conglomerate of sorts. Your job is to build a city from the ground up as you’ll erect building and shops to attract new residents. There are five different maps to master, and loads of different structures to build. Initially I thought this was more of the same from Kairosoft, but so far it’s been a nice change of pace. The free version isn’t available yet, but you can snag the full version for $4.99.
Everyone knows how much Judge Dredd loves Justice, but did you know that he hates Zombies? Apparently he hates them a lot as you’ll quickly find out in Rebellion’s Judge Dredd vs. Zombies. You’ll get to dish out justice on around 30 different levels, and you’re going to have a lot of fun doing it. It’s an awesome shooter, and best of all it’s totally free!
In case the name didn’t give it away Blind Ninja: Sing is about a Blind Ninja who likes to slice & dice his enemies to pieces. This fun little endless runner puts your reflexes to the test as you’ll have to jump, chop, and slice your way through hordes of enemy ninjas. No free version of the game is available at this time, but you can get the full version of Blind Ninja: Sing for only $0.99 on Google Play.
6. Turbo Kids
Turbo Kids is the newest game from the folks at Droidhen and it’s an interesting little game to say the least. You get to go through a series of races where you’ll have to jump over objects or chasms while trying to shoot your opponent. It’s much trickier than it sounds, and it’s also quite a bit of fun as there are plenty of power-ups and skills to upgrade. It’s a great quick play game and you can get it for free on Google Play.
If you’re in the mood for a little 2D platforming then Clippox Exodus is a game you’ll want to check out. You’ll play a quirky little Shaman that’s out to lead his people to a new home and you’ll encounter lots of danger along the way. As you are a Shaman you’ll be using magic instead of machine guns, and you’ll really need to hone your skills to lead your people to the promised land. Gametopia did a nice job with this one, and while there’s no demo to try you can get the full game for $0.99.
If you dig strategy games like I do we got a great new one this week with Sega of America’s Total War Battles: Shogun. You basically get to command an army of ninjas and samurai in massive battles which is never a bad thing in any format. You can read more about the game here or head on over to Google Play and pick it up for $4.99.
HueBrix is the latest and greatest from the team at Noodlecake Studios, and it’s a real blast to play if you love puzzle games. You’ll solve levels by dragging paths from blocks to fill in each levels puzzle grid. The blocks only give you paths of a certain length to use though so therein lies the rub. HueBriz is a lot of fun and there’s a demo version you can checkout or you can snag the full version for only a buck.
10. NFL Kicker 13
Full Fat wowed folks with its most recent game Agent Dash, and now they’re back to their usual fair with NFL Kicker 13. Not a whole lot to say about his one that we haven’t already said here(LINK), but it’s great little time killer that’s a nice way to breaking the 2013 NFL season. NFL Kicker 13 is available to download for $0.99 on Google Play.
