The Top 10 Android Games of the Week – September 23, 2012
It’s Sunday which means we’re back again with another edition of our Top 10 Android Games of the Week. This week’s list takes you to the subway, lets you run a Cafe or you can just roll around as a decapitated head if you prefer. If that’s not enough to pique your interest how about taking down an evil CEO as a beast that’s half Spider and half Veociraptor? Yup, there’s a little something for everyone and without further ado we proudly present our picks for the Top 10 Android Games of the Week September 23, 2012.
If you like your adventure games with a bit of ale and cleavage, then you’ll definitely dig The Bard’s Tale from inXile Entertainment. This RPG is chocked full of humor, quests, villain’s, weapons, and quirky characters. It’s an Epic game to say the least, and it’s well worth the $5.95 price tag.
2. Puppet War: FPS
Puppets are fun to watch, and are generally considered fun for the entire family. Unless you’re playing Puppet War: FPS that is… You play a janitor trapped in children’s TV show and as fate would have it puppets are trying to eat you so you’ll have to take them out with your mop, guns, swords, and whatever else you can get your hands on. The first episode of Puppet War is free to download while the second episode costs $0.99 and further extends your gameplay.
Mobage released a pixely game this week by the name of Pocket Planes where you’ll get to run your own tiny airline. You’ll drop off passengers and cargo all over the world as you try and become the best airline around. Pocket Planes looks to be a nice little airport sim, and it’s free to download on Google Play.
The circus came to town this week and it brought along all your old friends from Madagascar. Madagascar – Join the Circus puts you to work running a circus where you’ll try to make your big top the best around by adding new acts involving the characters from Madagascar. This one’s good for Kids & Adults and you can grab it for free on Google Play.
Cube’s have been puzzling folks for decades now and Cubistry is the newest game to throw a puzzling cube your way. You’ll have to rotate, swipe, and tap cubes to make them pop and you’re going to have quite a bit of fun doing it. It’s a different kind of puzzler, and you can check it out for only $0.99.
Feelingtouch dropped a new game this week in the form of Zombie Frontier which lets you wage war against the Zombies in several different environments using a slew of high-tech weaponry. There’s nothing revolutionary about the game, but it’s a good time if you’re into some straight up Zombie killing. You can check out Zombie Frontier for free on Google Play.
7. Deluxe Café
When I think Namco Bandai I generally think Pac Man, but this week the folks at Namco released something different with Deluxe Café. Not a lot to say about this one except that it lets you own & operate your own Café, and it’s an ‘online only’ game meaning you have to be connected to the game through data or WiFi to play it. If you want to give it a go you can pick up Namco Bandai’s Deluxe Café for free.
8. Rolling Head
Not a week goes by that we don’t see a new Zombie game, and this week brought us a funky one called Rolling Head from Maqna Interactive. They say a rolling stone gathers no moss, and the same can be said by a rolling zombie head as you’ll have to guide your decapitated head back to your body and through a gauntlet of humans. It’s definitely a different kind of Zombie game and it’s also quite a bit of fun.
Noodlecake Studios has popped out some great games so far this year and they added another to their hit list this week with Velocispider Zero. You are Velocispider….part Velociraptor, part Spider and your job is to protect your precious eggs from the evil CEO of the Robot Seafood Corporation. The game is just as strange & fun as it sounds and there’s even a free version you can try although once you do you’ll happily drop $0.99 for the full version.
10. Subway Surfer
I first became familiar with Kiloo games with their Frisbee Forever game, and they caught my attention again this week with Subway Surfers. In their newest game you’ll have to avoid the ill-tempered subway inspector while grinding on trains and hoverboard surfing. You’ll even get to use a paint powered jetpack which you’ll need to escape the Inspector and his mean ol’ dog. It’s a great little game and it’s free to download on Google Play.
