Top 10 New Android Games of the Week – August 5, 2012

This week’s Top 10 list is packed full of gaming goodness from Tanks and Robots to Horses and Monsters. While there aren’t any Robotic Horse Monsters (wouldn’t that be odd), there are plenty of great Android games to keep you busy. Without further ado, we proudly present Android-Games.com’s Top 10 New Android Games of the Week…

1. Kairobotica

Number One with a bullet this week is Kairobotica the new time killer from Kairosoft. I’ll sum this one up by saying you get to play with Robots… lots and lots of robots. You’ll run a security force consisting of metal policemen, and you even get to issue some real battle commands this time around. I’ve only gotten to spend a few hours playing Kairobotica, but it’s already my personal favorite from the developers. You can snag Kairobotica for $4.99 on Google Play.

2. Call of Duty Black Ops Zombie

Half the gamers on Earth have played some sort of Call of Duty game, and now they can play one on their Android device with Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie for Android. Glu Mobile dropped this little gem earlier this week, and you’ll get to headshot Zombies till your heart’s content. Unfortunately, this one’s an Xperia Play exclusive for about 25 more days, but after that we’ll all get to enjoy it. You can pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie for $6.99.

3. Iron Crusade

If you love tanks (who doesn’t) then you’re definitely going to dig Iron Crusade for Android. Iron Crusade puts you behind the wheel of a tank and lets you destroy your enemies and your environments as you go to war in some very cool worms-like battles. I’ve had a blast with this one, and think you will to. You can pick up Iron Crusade for free on Google Play.

4. Happy Street

Last week Godzi Labs released iBlast Moki 2 and this week they’re back with another great looking game called Happy Street. Happy Street is a unique little world where you can build your own village, craft objects, and hang out with your friends. This one was just released yesterday, and while we’re going to take a closer look at it this week you can head on over to Google Play and check it today for free.

5. Monster Life

It seems like Gameloft is releasing at least one top tier game a week now, and this week brought us Monster Life. If you’ve ever wanted to raise and fight paper monsters, this is the game for you as you’ll raise and fight your team of monsters against the forces of Chaos. Monster Life is free to download from Google Play.

6. Derby Days

We saw several different building games drop over the past week, and Derby Days is a unique one as it deals strictly with horses. You’ll get to run your own horse ranch and you’ll have to take on all the responsibilities that go along with it. From building structures to racing horses there’s more than enough to keep you busy, and you get to do it all for free!

7. TouchMix FX

There are scores of touch/tap music games out there, and Gamevil has entered the genre with their new game TouchMix FX. This game’s all about timing, tapping, and music of course, and while there may be games that do that same thing this one definitely has its own style. You can check out TouchMix FX for free on Google Play.

8. Retired Wizard Story

Retired Wizard Story is a new Android game from the folks at WestRiver that deals with a Wizard who just wants to live a normal life as a sheep herder. The problem is that the sheep have escaped and you’ll have to get them back in line with a little magic before your true identity is discovered. It’s an odd, but fun little game especially if you like big-headed sheep. You can checkout Retired Wizard Story for free on Google Play.

9. Agent Dash

Full Fat games entered the realm of free games this week as they released their newest game Agent Dash for free. Agent Dash puts you in the role of a super secret spy and lets you run through several lush environments while you try to avoid obstacles and destroy enemy bases. You can check out Agent Dash for free on Google Play.

10. GraveStompers

Stomping on things has always been fun, and who wouldn’t want to stomp out a few Zombies? Well that’s exactly what you’ll get to do in GraveStompers from Mad Menace Entertainment. You won’t actually “stomp” them per say, but you will demolish them with chainsaws, shotguns, bats, and anything else you can get your hands on. It’s a very slick looking game, and you can snag it for free on Google Play.
