Top 10 New Android Games of the Week – July 8, 2012
This week’s list of games includes battling monkeys, sushi, gunslingers, vikings, and some very hungry land. There are also a few zombies as there hasn’t been a week go by that we haven’t seen a game from our brain eating brethren. Without further ado, we proudly present Android-Games.com’s Top 10 New Android Games of the Week July 8, 2012…
1. Feed Me Oil
The land is hungry, and it’s hungry for oil! That’s the premise behind Chillingo’s new Android game Feed Me Oil as you’ll try to fill the hungry monster-lands mouths full of Texas Tea. It’s a quirky game, but a good one and well worth checking out. The only drawback to this one is it’s advertised as “free” when you only actually get a handful of levels for free and you’ll have to pay for the rest. It’s still a very cool game, and you can find it on Google Play.
Kairosoft gave us another fun way to kill all of our spare time this week with their newest game The Sushi Spinnery. As the title implies you’ll run a Sushi shop and take on all the tasks that go along with it including finding new ingredients, decorating your shop, and most importantly putting butts in the seats. You’ll need to make your shop the top Sushi Spot in the world, and you’ll have a lot of fun doing it. You can check out Kairosoft’s The Sushi Spinnery for $4.99 on Google Play.
3. Draw Race 2
Chillingo dropped 3 games this week and Draw Race 2 is the only one I haven’t had a chance to play. This one’s a touch-based racing game with realistic physics, gorgoues tracks, and a massive single player campaign with over 180 challenges which should keep you busy for awhile. If that’s not enough, you can also challenge your friends online with the Friend Challenge mode. If you’re ready to hit the track you can pick up Draw Race 2 on Google Play for $3.08.
4. Dead Trigger
In news that everyone knew was coming, MADFINGER Games finally unleashed Dead Trigger for all the world to enjoy. It’s a Zombie killing game with outstanding graphics on par with Shadowgun, and it’s also a lot of fun. The only knock on the game is the Free to Play aspect of things; the game will set you back a buck, but you’ll have to pay to get the top weapons. I won’t go into how I think they royally screwed up on this one, but I will say while I’m disappointed they “joined the in-app crowd” Dead Trigger is still a great game.
We talked about this one earlier in the week, and even though I’m not a MapleStory kind of guy MapleStory Live certainly deserves a spot on our list. Check our write up to learn more about the game or head on over to Google Play and try it out for free now.
Monkeys are popular little creatures, and any game where you get perform a little monkey combat is an instant win in my book. If you enjoy monkey battles then look no further than Battle Monkeys from Geek Beach as this quirky game lets you fight online with a small army on monkeys to find out who’s the best monkey around. You can get Battle Monkeys for free on Google Play.
Noodlecake Studios has really impressed me over the past month with their barrage of awesomeness, and Ready Steady Bang is the latest from the team. Be quick or be dead as you’ll get to play face to face with a buddy or against 10 of the quickest outlaws in town. It’s a very cool quick play game and they’ll be a full write up on this one soon so check back in a few days. Until then I recommend you pick this one up, especially if you dig cowboys and solid quick play games.
First it was Where’s My Water? and now Disney’s back with Where’s My Perry? for Android. The gameplay is similar to the first game, but this time around your in the world of Agent P otherwise known as Perry from Phineas and Ferb. If you liked Where’s My Water? there’s no doubt you’ll dig this one, and you can check it out for free $0.99.
Vikings, Zombies, and Crystal Skulls…. Did that get your attention? If not, how about a Viking wielding machine guns and axes? If you’re still not sold you don’t’ have a pulse, and if you think that premise sounds as awesome as I do then you need to check out Vinny the Viking from Ace Viral.
Sneaking in under the radar this week is another new game from HeroCraft called The Tiny Bang Story. All I know about this one is it’s a hidden object game with a great atmosphere set in a steampunk inspired world. The bad news is the game is only available for Sony Devices right now, but the good news is that everyone else will get it on August 5th. If you own a Sony Android device and want to give this one a go you can find it on Google Play for $2.99.
