Top 10 New Android Games of the Week – July 29, 2012
After several awesome weeks of Android games, it looks like we’ve finally hit the summer slowdown. There are still plenty of good new games out there, it’s just a lot harder to find them and we still got a “blockbuster” game this week with a new addition to the Asphalt series. If you’re not into racing you can still build a tower or two, defy gravity as a ninja or fly through the skies as a trippy little whale. Without further ado, we proudly present our picks for the Top 10 New Android Games of the Week July 29, 2012.
1. Droid Towers
I’ve been a fan of tower building games since Sim Tower way back in the day, and Android devices are a natural fit for the tower building genre. Droid Towers is the newest game to take a shot at tower building, and it’s a pretty solid game all around. You can check out Happy Droids Droid Towers for fere on Google Play.
2. Bombergeddon
Whenever HeroCraft releases a game you can usually count on it to be a good one, and that’s the case with their latest title Bombergeddon. Their newest game involves an Indiana Jones style character that loves to collect relics, and uses bomb’s as his weapon of choice. If you enjoyed the old Bomberman games you’ll dig this one and you can check it out for free on Google Play.
3. Rat Fishing
Rat Fishing is the newest addictive game from the minds at Miniclip.com, and this time around you’re going to fish for a few rats. No pole is required, but you will use cheese for bait as you try to lure the hypnotized rats from their hiding holes. It’s a fun game, and it’s free to download on Google Play.
4. Final Fantasy

5. Epic Meal Time
A lot of folks are already familiar with Epic Meal Time, and now you can make yourself familiar with the game. The Epic Meal Time mobile game lets you fling that tasty unhealthy food straight towards the Sauce Bosses gullet, but you’ll want to keep those veggies away. It’s a game that’s sure to make you laugh, and it’s great for a quick play whether you’re familiar with the show or not.
6. Whale Trail Frenzy
Whale Trail is one of the trippiest games out there, and it’s a blast to play. If you’ve not experienced the madness for yourself you can now play the newest version dubbed Whale Trail Frenzy for free. It’s one of those games you have to play to really “get” and I highly advise you to check it out if you haven’t already.
7. Arel Wars 2
When Gamevil released Arel Wars for Android it was met with open arms and gained a large following rather quickly. Now they’re back with the sequel simply dubbed Arel Wars 2. Personally, I never played the first one, but if you did there’s little doubt you’ll want to grab the sequel as I’ve heard nothing but good things about the games. Arel Wars 2 can be yours for the low price of free on Google Play.
8. Bert in Space
Mominis dropped a new Android space game this week called Bert In Space. This one involves an alien named Bert, scores of evil aliens, and a family vacation. I haven’t gotten a change to give this one a run yet, but it looks to be a good way to kill some time. You can check out Bert In Space for yourself on Google Play for free.
9. Gravity Ninja
Ninja’s are well known for their sneakiness and mystical abilities… they can also defy Gravity in case you didn’t know. At least that’s the case in Gravity Ninja from Monsters & Robots as you’ll try to stay in the air or on your feet while collecting goodies and avoiding dangerous obstacles. This one’s great for a quick play and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.
10. Aby Escape
Aby Escape is a new endless running game that puts you to work trying to escape your pursuers in forests, cities, and even football stadiums. There’s a nice Story mode to the game, and we almost forgot to mention you get to play as a raccoon! This one’s a great runner game, and best of all it’s free!
