Get your Tomb Raider on with Lara Croft: Guardian of Light for Android
In some very unexpected news Square Enix has released a new Android game in the form of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. As somebody who grew up playing Tomb Raider, I’m pretty excited and I have no doubt other Lara Croft fans are going to dig this as well.
If you haven’t played Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on another platform, this adventure drops you into the jungles of Central America where you’ll have to find the Mirror of Smoke. The Mirror has been stolen by the evil Xolotl, and it’s up to you and Totec , the guardian of the mirror to defeat Xolotl and bring light back into the world. You’ll get to do all the things you know and love in pure Tomb Raider Style; there are around 10 large areas in the game with plenty of relics, artifacts, and powerups to collect. You’ll also get around 30 achievements and there’s a high score section that keeps track of your score as you progress through different areas of the game.
As usual this one’s an Xperia Play exclusive and while we don’t know when it will be available for everyone, rest assured it will be. If you own an Xperia device and you’re a fan of the Tomb Raider games you’re in heaven, but the rest of us will just have to wait to see Ms. Croft in all her Android glory. If you’re able to run it, you can pick up Lara Croft: Guardian of Light on sale for a limited time for only $1.29.
