Top 10 New Android Games of the Week – May 13, 2012
We may have missed last week, but we’re back this week with another great list of the Top 10 new Android Games of the Week. Up this week we’ve got a few zombies, monsters, nukes, and even a sloth. There have been quite a few good games released over the past few weeks, and here are the 10 of the best…
The market is flooded with Zombie games, but none of them are quite like Zombro from Making Fun Inc. Zombro takes everything you know about zombie games and flips it on its head, as you’ll have to take yourself apart piece by piece to make your way through this quirky adventure. It’s a very cool game, and pretty damned challenging as well. You can pick check out Zombro for free on Google Play.
Machinarium has been around for awhile, and thanks to Hothead Games you can finally play it on your Android device. This Indie hit places you in a world full of robots, puzzles, and challenges. The game has a very cool steam punk vibe and the graphics will definitely grab your attention. There isn’t a free version available right now, but the full version is a steal at $3.99.
3. Zombie Flick
Full Fat dropped a new flicking game into the market this week, and it’s unlike any of their other games. Zombie Flick lets you flick flowerpots, Frisbees, telephones, and anything else you can think of at the undead as they try to make it past your barricades. The game has a 70s Grindhouse vibe, and it’s a whole lotta’ fun if you like flick games or zombies. You can pick up Full Fat Productions Zombie Flick on Google Play for $0.99.
Besieged is a castle defense game that lets you take on hordes of skeleton warriors trying to destroy your castle. You can fling 12 different kinds of weapons towards 15 different kinds of unique enemies. I’ve been playing this one on and off most of the week, and if you dig defense style games you definitely need to pick up Leviathan Games Besieged.
If you like tap to destroy style games you’re going to love Monster of Puppets from Gamelion Studios. The game basically lets you destroy cute little monster puppets including zombies, pumpkins, and robots just to name a few. It’s a cool quick play game and you can pick it up for $0.99.
iSiege: Nuclear Option is a new game from pewpewentertainment that puts to you work attacking the enemy and defending your base. You’ll get to send troops and tanks as well as ICBM’s, but you’ll also have to defend. The game has a nice visual style, pass n’ play, and online multiplayer. You can check out iSiege on Google Play for $1.99.
8. Star Sloth
Apparently Sloths enjoy delivering hamburgers and outer space. At least that’s the impression I got after playing Star Sloth from FPO Projects and delivering a few 1,000 cheeseburgers. You’re a rocket riding Sloth that delivers burgers, dodges mines, and destroys black holes… not really much else I can say after that. If you feel like flinging some cheeseburgers in space you can pick up Star Sloth for $1.99.
9. Mole Kart
10. Burn It All
Bulkypix AMA has come up with a new way for folks to Burn the Rope in Burn it All. This puzzler does let you burn ropes, but you won’t have to twist yourself into a pretzel in this game. You have to use different types of flames to light ropes as you race against the clock and underground monsters. Burn it All is a great new puzzler can be all yours for only $0.99.
