Top 10 New Android Games of the Week – April 15, 2012
Another week, another slew of great Android Games… it’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it. This week brought us Indie’s, Retro games, crazy airplanes, and even a few jumping beans. We also got two games people had been clamoring for, so yeah it was another great week to be a gamer. Without further ado, we proudly present Android-Games.com’s Top 10 New Android Games of the Week for April 15th 2012…
1. Bean’s Quest
We talked about this little jewel earlier in the week, and now it’s on our top’s list. Bean’s Quest is a killer platformer from Kumobius that transforms you into a jumping bean set on world domination. Actually, you’re just out to save your girlfriend, but an Evil Jumping Bean sounds pretty damned cool. The game gives you 150 challenges set across 5 worlds, and it’s one of the best Retro games to come out so far this year. Don’t’ take my word for it, you can check it out for yourself on Google Play for $2.99.
If you like Indie Games, there’s little doubt that you’ll love Treemaker from Mikrotie Ltd. Treemaker is a casual puzzler that will test your reflexes as you try to swing through its vibrant 3D worlds. You’ll get 30 levels of gravity defying fun spanning 3 different worlds; it’s a real blast to play and it’s 100% free with no in-app purchases. You can check out the awesomeness know as Treemaker for yourself over on Google Play.
Hexage Ltd. finally gave its fans a new game a few days ago, and it’s a doozy. Radiant Defense is the newest game from the team, and it’s a Tower Defense game set in Hexage’s vibrant universe which is very cool to say the least. You get upgradable weapons, superweapons, and more than 300 waves of aliens to destroy. The game is free to play with no ads, but does have some in-app purchases. If you’d like to give it a go (you know you do) you can pick up Radiant Defense on Google Play.
4. Blast Ball
We’ve seen quite a few new Soccer games come out lately, and you can add another to the list with Uncade’s stylish game Blast Ball. This retro game combines Soccer with explosions… let’s say that again Retro, Soccer, and Explosions. Needless to say it’s not your “typical” soccer game, but it’s a damn good one. I’m being vague on purpose because we’ve got a great full review of Blast Ball coming up next week. Until then there’s a free version of the game you can check out or you can jump straight to the full version for only $0.99 cents.
5. Dark Legends
The folks at Spacetime Studios finally released the game a lot of us have been waiting for with their new MMORPG Dark Legends. This one doesn’t take place in space or in medieval times, but puts you in the role of a Vampire as you hack & slash your way through its levels solo or with a friend. It’s really an awesome game, and there’s no doubt it will be a runaway hit on Android. If you’re ready to get your hack-n-slash on you can get Dark Legends for free on Google Play.
6. Panic Flight
Panic Flight puts you in control of AMA Airlines, and your job is to get your passengers to their destination as quickly as possible without running out of gas. They’ll be a lot of obstacles in your way and your job is made harder, but funner by groups of passengers that need upgrades and want you to perform tricks along the way. It’s one of the coolest flying sim’s I’ve played, and you can check it out for free.
If you like Pirates (who doesn’t?) we’ve got just the game for you with Eyeball Games the Golden Age of Piracy. It’s a game that lets you take out pirates in sea battles by using your wits… as well as your deadly cannons. It’s a great looking game that’s fun to play, especially if you dig pirates and a little strategery. You can check out the free version of The Golden Age of Piracy or pick up the full version for $0.99 cents on Google Play.
8. Death Race
Did you dig the movie Death Race or the game Twisted Metal? If so you’ll definitely dig Death Rally from Remedy Entertainment. Death Race puts you on the road with souped up cars, big weapons and an in-depth career mode that’s sure to keep you busy as you try and win races and destroy your opponents. It’s a very slick game that racing fans should get a kick out of, and you can pick it up for free on Google Play.
iSlash is the newest game from Bulkpix that lets you slice up boards with your trusty finger. Yes, it’s another slicing game, but it’s a good one and definitely holds its own. You’ll have to slash away a certain percentage of each level to advance while keeping an eye on the ninja stars flying around the level as well. It’s a great quick play game and you can get it for free on Google Play.
10. RPG Iruna Online
RPG Iruna Online is a new MMORPG from Asobimo Inc, makers of a lot of other RPG games I’ve never heard of. I haven’t played Iruna Online yet, but the game looks great and it’s a “new” online MMORPG which is never a bad thing. You can pick up RPG Iruna Online for free on Google Play.
