Noumena Innovations releases Kingdom Story for Android
Kingdom Story is a slick new Android game from Noumena Innovations that lets you build your own mythical town and then defend it against monsters, mages, and wicked little wizards. You might be thinking, “great… another building game” and you might just be right or Kingdom Story may have that little something extra to make it stand out. Curious? Read on to find out…
When you first fire up Kingdom Story, it can be a bit confusing. There is no real walkthrough to give you direction, you’re just thrown into the village and given the task of collecting grain. It also lets you know that you’ve entered a chat room; I typed a few messages in the chat channel, but got nothing back so I’m not sure what’s going on with that yet. Anywho, from what I’ve seen you basically complete tasks by building things and collecting materials which in turn allow you to level up. The other part of the game has to do with fighting and defending your little kingdom. I’ve not gotten to that part of the game, but there are soldiers, generals, and plenty of weapons to battle monsters or anything else headed your way. It is a “time-based” building game, but the build times have been very reasonable so far which is always a nice thing.
Kingdom Story seems to be a nice little building sim with plenty to do. The game has more of an RPG feel to it than a building game, and while I haven’t gotten around to fighting anything yet I’m actually looking forward to it. The game could definitely use some sort of walkthrough or direction, but it’s not that difficult to figure out if you’ve played other games of this type.
