Wildbit Studios unleashes Paper Zombie into the Android Market
Paper Zombie is a new Zombie game from WildBit Studios that puts you right up close and personal with hordes of Zombies. This action packed game throws zombies at you from all directions and you’ll have to take them out and protect survivors for as long as you can. I’ve known about this game for awhile now, and played it on the iPhone a little while back, so I pretty much knew what to expect. That being said, there was one small surprise and while it wasn’t as horrific as the Zombies themselves, it was still an unpleasant surprise…
The basic premise of the game is for you to destroy any and all zombies that pop onto your screen. You’ll take them out by slicing ala Fruit Ninja style, and as you whack at them body parts will go flying. The tricky part of the game comes in when you start saving citizens (can’t slice them) and the Zombies start popping up in your face instead of slowly coming towards you from over the hill. As the Zombies are made out of paper, the easiest way to destroy them is by cutting and Paper Zombie gives you a nice variety of implements to take them down with.
While I really, really wanted to LOVE Paper Zombie, unfortunately the gameplay was glitchy for me and judging by the market comments I’m not the only one. It’s definitely playable, but I’ve had some FC issues, and laggy gameplay which sucks as I (and a lot of other people) were looking forward to the game. That being said, I have no doubt whatsoever that WildBit will get the issues straightened out and have it running like a champ soon. As of now though, it seems hit or miss depending on your device. If you want to give it a go, you can pick up Paper Zombie for free in the market.
